(cba:news) AM CVn ('Joe Patterson' via CBA News) [2026-08-11T23:23:30Z]

Hi CBAers,

The 2025 coverage of AM CVn was absolutely OUTSTANDING!! Our 2020 SAS paper straightened out the intertwined issues of positive superhump, negative superhump, and orbital period - really because two of them wander in phase, and the third doesn't. But having learned Porb to high precision, it remains to extend the baseline and get Porb to another decimal place (or even learn dPorb/dt, for which general relativity makes a prediction).

I'll cheerlead for this starting in March, when CVn returns to the sky. And meanwhile, work out the constraint for 2025. 've never seen such good coverage!
