Subject: V1674 Her, redux
Hi CBAers,
Apologies for being a Johnny-One-Note on this subject, but V1674 Her is holding
strong at 18.0 this year, with a pretty healthy 501 s pulse signal. So it's a
plenty good target under good conditions. The great attractiveness of this
target is that it gives us a unique opportunity to learn about spin-down (likely
due to accretion-torque history) in the early years after outburst.
But "you can't get blood from a turnip"... so if sky conditions don't permit,
find a better target.
Concerning earlier messages: I haven't learn anything new re CR Boo or V533
Her... so I guess take those off the list.
I'm about to add some new or almost-new stars - next message. But before
Scorpius goes away, consider "Nova Sco 1437" - if your latitude permits.
