(cba:news) cba mailing lists platform migration (Jonathan Kemp) [2025-04-19T21:00:37Z]

Hi CBAers,

As mentioned last month, we will soon migrate some of our e-mail 
communications.  We will be moving our mailing lists from a self-hosted 
Mailman software deployment on our CBA server to using the Google Groups 
platform.  This will affect the cba-news mailing list, the cba-chat 
mailing list, and the cba-data submission address.

At the moment, you need do nothing.  We currently expect this change to 
happen in about a week.  Before the transition, an e-mail will be sent 
about the imminent change and will include information about the new list 
addresses.  At that time, you will also either be added to the new CBA 
news and chat mailing lists that reflect your current subscriptions, or 
you will receive an invite to those new lists which you will need to 
accept.  A few of you may need to add Google credentials to your 
subscribed e-mail account if you have not previously used your account 
with a Google service.

This process will streamline our e-mail communications and minimize the 
required systems administrative overhead for our mailing lists.  Please
