1.9hrs of unfiltered photometry of this blue (g=20.10, r=20.06) object in the SDSS catalogue showed apparent superhumps with period about 0.063d and amplitude
0.04 mag. Mean magnitude was 14.09C.

This appears to be a previously unknown SU UMa type dwarf nova in a 6 mag
superoutburst.

Regards,
David Boyd

Dear colleagues,

The Catalina Real-Time Transient Survey (Drake et al. 2009, ApJ, 696, 870)
discovered a bright OT, CSS090727:161028+090739.

907271090864112546 2009-07-27T06:36:21 2009-07-27T06:31:44 16 10 27.63 +09 07 38.5 13.87 13.88 13.85 13.85 http://nesssi.cacr.caltech.edu/catalina/20090727/907271090864112546.html

There is a 20 mag blue object in SDSS Catalog.
The SDSS spectrum shows a blue continuum and double-peaked Halpha
and Hbeta emission lines.

The object is likely a dwarf nova in outburst.
Follow-up observations are encouraged.
