    Yeah, I wanted to cheer for that sentiment too - back-up on the prime 
    targets!  We usually profit A LOT with that - it keeps the time series 
    going despite the thousand natural shocks that photometry is heir to.
    It also increases accuracy.  (Unless one of the runs is obviously much 
    better than the other, I usually combine 'em in the analysis - and the 
    improvement in S/N is clear when there's a weak feature to be dug out.)

    BTW for those of you who may not have yet discovered the "Catalina 
    Real-Time Transient Survey", have a look at it.  Have a lot of looks at 
    it.  Life will never be the same!  (Even if they never discover the 
    Death-Dealing Asteroid that launched the whole enterprise.)
