    Let the Bear Awaken

    Hi CBAers,

We still love NY Ser! Don't be bashful about the star. But if you're
looking something well-timed and plenty bright - nice light curve over
the ol' fireplace - try UX UMa. I've been postponing it for years,
but we have a lot of quite faint targets now, and it's really the right
time to sic small telescopes on it. U Gem is still interesting but
will perhaps return to quiescence in about a week or less - and is really
pretty hard to observe in mid-April. Ursa Major just hangs up there for
    borealites.
