    Dear CBAers,

Well, glory be, if BK Lyn isn't staging its finest show of the
century this month! It has grown massive 0.2 mag negative superhumps,
replacing the 0.07 mag positive superhumps of 5 years ago - and also
displays the precession frequency itself in the light curve, as the
negative superhumpers usually do. Dave Harvey and Lasse Jensen have
been gallantly observing the thing, with Cap'n Bob chipping in. It
would be great to have very extensive coverage, as this is our best
opportunity ever to study negative superhumps. Cast off your shyness
and take a crack at this star. (We've been using the comp star 2'
ESE from the variable; you should get Var-Comp around +1.6 in unfiltered
    light).

         Helluva birthday present.
